Step 1

Print out a template sheet with the design so you can place where you would like it to be. Print out mirror image design on a sheet of Applique Fuse & Fix.

Step 2

Hoop a Piece of StabilStick, then use the scoring tool and the Grippy Grid to help mark the center. With bulky items such as a jean jacket, you may find it helpful to mark the center in order to place the jacket as close as possible before using the machine’s ability to aid in centering the design.

Step 3

Peel and place the template sheet of your chosen design. In this example, there are three stitch outs – one on the back and one on each side of the front.

Step 4

Place the jean jacket on the hooped StabilStick and place in the machine. Then, using your machine’s on-screen guide, make sure your needle is centered over where you want the design to be. Once you are happy REMOVE the template sheet. This can be re-used on the second side.

Step 5

Use your iron to apply the Applique Fuse & Fix to the back side of the Orange Sparkle Vinyl.

Step 6

Stitch your placement line first, then peel off the paper off the back of your Applique Fuse and Fix and place within the placement line. Stitch your cut and tackdown lines. Trim, then add your cover stitch.

Step 7

Repeat the same process with each color vinyl for the circle flowers. Iron the mirror image onto the pink vinyl, stitch the placement line, then place the vinyl. Stitch the cut line and tackdown line.

Step 8

Follow the machine steps to finish the rest of the stitching of the leaves, stem and flower details.

Step 9

Follow the exact same process with the rest of the flowers you’ve chosen to stitch on your jacket.

Step 10

Embellish as desired with lace or ribbon on the bottom of the jacket. This example uses a purple lace added on with a straight stitch. Add a couple of lock stitches at the beginning and end.
